2011 Closing Social

Another year has come and gone and a great time was had on the golf course. We added a few new golfers this year and they added a new spice to our league. At our closing social we awarded Janis Johnson, The Most Improved Golfer and Melonie Monson, The Most Inspiring (thanks for the honor). We elected JoAnn Red as the president for next year and Connie Cameron as the vice president.

Opening Social

On May 11th we had our opening social. Nine of our members were able to be there. We enjoyed a great lunch,yummy dessert and everyone went home with goody bags full of fun things. (click on comments to see pictures)

2nd Place in Tournament

Dani & I (Melonie) went up to Glen Eagle Golf Course in Syracuse to play in a scramble on Sept. 2nd. When we got there we realized that it wasn’t a scramble but a best ball tournament. Having never played in that kind of tournament I was freaking out. After watching the other ladies practice, I looked at Dani and said, “We are in trouble, these are real golfers!”. I wanted to get in the car and drive home as fast as possible. But Dani being wiser calmed me down by saying, “Lets just golf and have fun”. So thats what we did, we laughed at our mistakes and had a great time playing golf. When we were done and looked at our score we both realized we had played a great game. Somehow I had golfed 8 under my handicap! Crazy, huh. When all the scores were in we had won 2nd place net with a score of 58. Needless to say we were ecstatic. Bring on the next one!!!

Dani’s Hole in One

Wednesday, August 11, 2010 is a day that will go down in the annuls of history! Me, Dani Ercanbrack, made a HOLE-IN-ONE at the Price Country Club course hole #6 during team play!!! I was so excited I almost had a heart attack. It was dead silence for about a second then all those who saw it started cheering and jumping up and down. I got goose bumps it was so cool! It was my first and probably last HOI but it was exciting. I hope I made Sleepy Ridge Women Proud.
